A law enforcement task force recovered more than $2.1 million worth of suspected stolen merchandise last week while carrying out a series of search warrants in Los Angeles County as part of an ongoing effort to combat a wave of recent cargo train burglaries in the High Desert, authorities announced Monday.
Deputies assigned Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Rural Crimes Task Force searched seven businesses and homes in the cities of Southgate, Paramount and Downey on Thursday, Oct. 30, according to the agency. Three Southgate men were arrested.
