Long Beach Police Investigate East Anaheim Street Shooting; Victim Hospitalized, Suspect At Large

Last night, Long Beach streets were punctuated by the sharp report of gunfire, as detailed in a press release from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD). Officers rushed to the scene in response to a distress call, culminating in the discovery of a male victim wounded from a shooting that took place on November 2, 2025, at about 9:32 p.m. The incident, which occurred on the 2300 block of East Anaheim Street, left the victim with a non-life-threatening injury to the upper body.

The LBPD was quick to arrive at the 1100 block of Raymond Avenue after an assault call was reported. It was there they found the injured man, soon after to be swiftly attended by Long Beach Fire Department personnel and taken to a local hospital. The authorities are currently attempting to thoroughly investigate to identify a motive for the crime and to locate the unknown male suspect who had fired the shots before choosing to quickly flee the scene.
