A woman suspected of stealing Pokémon cards and other items from the trunk of a Tesla in Orange County last month has been taken into custody, police said on Thursday.
The Irvine Police Department asked the public for help on Oct. 15 in identifying a woman who got away with over $400 worth of Pokémon cards and personal property taken from the car as it sat in the parking garage of an apartment building on Miramonte.
“A woman possibly associated with Team Rocket was caught on camera opening the trunk of a Tesla,” the police department posted on Instagram along with the video. “Help us catch this one before she disappears into the tall grass! … We ‘gotta catch ’em all’,” the post read.
In Thursday’s update, police reported that investigators later identified the suspect as 32-year-old Rosemary Arteaga Morfin of Anaheim and served a search warrant at her apartment, but she was not home at the time…
