Arrest made in woman’s death

Domestic violence is believed to be the cause of the death of a 44-year-old Westminster woman on Saturday night.

According to Commander Andy Stowers of the WPD, the incident began around 8 p.m. when officers responded to a home near the intersection of Sinclair Avenue and Sorbonne Street (northeast of Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street) in Westminster to assist the Orange County Fire Authority after a woman was found by a family member unresponsive and not breathing within the home.

OCFA firefighter paramedics arrived first and found the woman dead on a bed with “visible signs of trauma.” WPD officers determined that the circumstances were suspicious and detectives were summoned…
