A local resident has reported being assaulted and robbed by an allegedly off-duty Long Beach PD officer. The case, which was handled by the LA DA’s office, resulted in the accused officer receiving a mere 20 hours of online anger management. The case was subsequently buried, with the LA Sheriff’s department refusing to release the body camera footage of the incident. The victim, who is now seeking legal representation, has faced challenges in finding a lawyer, as most personal injury attorneys have stated they do not handle “intentional torts”.
