The Dashboard compiles several state indicators, including graduation rates, suspension rates, English learner progress, and chronic absenteeism. It also tracks college and career readiness and includes local indicators such as family engagement and school climate. The color-coded system, ranging from blue (highest performance) to red (lowest), gives users a quick overview and access to detailed data for schools and student groups.
According to this year’s data, California’s four-year graduation rate is 87.5 percent, the highest since the Dashboard began. Orange County’s graduation rate is about 93 percent, above the state average.
