Driver killed in high-speed Long Beach crash into 2 other cars, fire hydrant

A chaotic high-speed crash involving three vehicles killed one person, who Long Beach investigators say may have been driving while impaired on Saturday night.

The Long Beach Police Department said officers responded to reports of an injury traffic collision just before 7 p.m. on Nov. 22 in the area of Long Beach Boulevard and East San Antonio Drive.

Officers arrived to find the driver of a 2005 Nissan Altima, only identified as a male, unconscious in the driver’s seat with his car resting in the northbound lanes of Long Beach Boulevard. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but ultimately pronounced the man dead at the scene…
