While most families were easing into Thanksgiving morning, preparing turkeys and setting tables, Westminster police officers found themselves dealing with a very different start to the holiday.
At 8:18 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, a traffic stop at 8342 Westminster Blvd. resulted in the arrest of Fernando Lome, 21, of Santa Ana, according to the Westminster Police Department’s Adult Arrest Log.
Police say that during the stop — one of the few calls that typically punctuate the otherwise quiet holiday — officers discovered a concealed firearm, ammunition and a large-capacity magazine.
