LOS ANGELES – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the fifth time in six days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.717.
The average price has dropped 5.4 cents over the past six days, including a half-cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The run began one day after a 13-day streak of decreases totaling 11.6 cents ended when the average price was unchanged.
The average price is 5.4 cents less than one week ago, but 8.6 cents more than one month ago and 26.5 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.776 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022…
