Record-setting Mega Millions ticket sold in Orange County; winner not yet known

A record-setting Mega Millions ticket worth more than $5.1 million was sold in California this week, marking one of the largest second-place prizes in state history, lottery officials announced Saturday.

The ticket matching the first five numbers in Friday night’s drawing, valued at $5,104,960, was sold at a CVS at Jasmine Avenue and Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar. The winning numbers were 34, 38, 42, 44, 69 and Mega Number 8.
