Most Anaheim High School students struck by alleged DUI driver released from hospital

Almost all of the students who were hit by an alleged drunk driver in Anaheim earlier this week are back home with their families.

A spokesperson for Anaheim School School said one teen remains in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver, 27-year-old Anthony Alva-Palafox, is out of police custody after posting bail. He’s accused of plowing into the running team while intoxicated.

“There was probable cause to believe Mr. Alva-Palafox was operating a motor vehicle in an unsafe manner due to his level of intoxication,” said police in a statement released Wednesday. “He was arrested on suspicion of DUI for both alcohol and drugs.”…
