Longtime appliance retailer closes stores, files for bankruptcy

A well-known appliance chain has shuttered all its locations and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

And recent customers have expressed concerns since the Southern California retailer took these steps so soon after Black Friday.

“Despite our best efforts to overcome tariffs, declines in consumer spending, and other macroeconomic challenges — we have made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy and close our doors,” David Goodrich with the law firm Golden Goodrich in Costa Mesa shared with the Southern California News Group. “This was not a decision made lightly, but one that became necessary given the current economic landscape.”…
