A Huntington Beach man was arrested Thursday night for allegedly assaulting a man, leaving him hospitalized and sparking an hours-long SWAT standoff after police said the suspect became upset over his boat being towed.
Huntington Beach police officers were called to a home in the 5700 block of Edinger Avenue around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a fight in progress. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim with significant injuries, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
