Teen Boy Hurt Crossing Long Beach Intersection

A teenage boy was injured Friday when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy Long Beach street.

The boy was struck at 7:36 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of South Street at Walnut Avenue, Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Bradford Stein told City News Service.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that a teenage male juvenile pedestrian was crossing South Street in a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a male adult,” Stein said. “LBFD paramedics responded and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his upper body.”…
