No explosive device found after bomb threat reported at St. Mary Medical Center

Police have completed their search of St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach following a bomb threat reported early Friday morning, and no explosive device was found, authorities confirmed.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded around 6:55 a.m. to the 1000 block of Linden Avenue after receiving a report of a possible bomb threat at the hospital.

Officers, along with St. Mary security staff, conducted a thorough search of the facility, and LBPD later confirmed the search was complete and that no explosive device was located. Detectives have been notified, and the origin of the threat remains under investigation.

Sky5 was overhead as police searched the area, with officers seen walking around the perimeter of the medical center alongside a K-9 unit. Canines were also observed entering parts of the facility, including the emergency room area…
