After a New Year’s Day record-breaking downpour in Southern California, more rainfall is forecasted in the region.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Weather Prediction Center forecast a strong system to arrive off California and the Pacific Northwest, bringing more heavy rain and mountain snow in the region. AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski reported that the “rain through Friday will occur with the main storm hovering well offshore over the Pacific.”
