Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Temple Station responded to an unusual traffic hazard in an unincorporated area of South San Gabriel after a goat was spotted wandering in the roadway, officials said.
The four-legged escapee was seen casually strolling through traffic, prompting a call to deputies. “Talk about hoofing it during traffic hours,” the department said in a social media post.
Footage shared by the station shows the goat near a patrol vehicle with emergency lights on before deputies were able to secure the animal. Additional images and video show deputies calmly interacting with the goat once it was out of the street and no longer posing a danger to drivers.
According to the department, deputies quickly secured the goat and safely returned it to its home nearby. No injuries were reported, and traffic impacts were minimal…
