Long Beach High School Student Hospitalized After Shooting Near Campus; Police Investigate

A student from Long Beach Polytechnic High School was hospitalized following a shooting incident close to the campus on Thursday morning, according to district officials. The Long Beach Unified School District spokesperson detailed that the event unfolded around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and 17th Street, which lies west of the school area. This information was supported by news from NBC Los Angeles, sharing witness reports of hearing gunshots in proximity to a local strip mall.

The victim, a 15-year-old boy, managed to reach the high school after the incident, where immediate medical care was provided.
