A student from Long Beach Polytechnic High School was hospitalized following a shooting incident close to the campus on Thursday morning, according to district officials. The Long Beach Unified School District spokesperson detailed that the event unfolded around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and 17th Street, which lies west of the school area.
