Students and faculty at California High School in Whittier were put on lockdown Monday after a bomb threat and reports from residents who saw a man with an AR-15 making threats near the school.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 2:03 p.m. for a non-specified threat at 9800 Mills Ave., and the County Fire Department said it was called for a bomb threat at the same location at 2:37 p.m.
