The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a woman suspected of smuggling drugs into a jail using the mail.
Kimberlylynn Alvarez, 48, of Irvine, was taken into custody by deputies who executed a search warrant in that city Friday, Jan. 16. The deputies found methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and firearm ammunition along with unspecified “items of evidence consistent with facilitating and smuggling narcotics into the jail,” Sgt. Matt Posson said in a press release.
