A machete-wielding man ran into a Southern California laundromat and smashed its front door in a bizarre and seemingly random attack that was caught on camera.
The incident occurred at Super Wash N Dry, located on Fairplex Drive in Pomona, around 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Security footage shared by the business shows a man with a machete charging in through the front door as customers begin to scramble away.
The armed man, after going around a bank of laundry machines, was seen briefly lunging at the owner’s 17-year-old son, who said the man yelled disparaging remarks about the 49ers jersey he was wearing.

After that, the man ran out of the store and the owner, Phil Hernandez, shut the front doors – but the man came back and hit the door with the machete, nearly shattering the glass on top of Hernandez, before screaming again and running off.
“I thought he would just leave if the doors were closed,” Hernandez told KTLA on Tuesday. “But in the heat of the moment, you just react and you don’t really think of it until afterwards…I’m definitely glad he didn’t catch me.”…
