Fullerton Police Chief John Radus pushed back on what he says is misinformation about an incident on January 22.
In the video posted on the department’s YouTube channel on Monday, Chief Radus said that officers responded to a call from a resident at 6:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of S Highland Ave., who reported that a man with a gun jumped a fence and was running around an apartment complex.
“When we receive a report of an armed suspect, we will respond every time. That is a public safety issue,” Radus said. “While on scene, Fullerton police officers maintained perimeter positions while federal agents searched for their subject. Once federal agencies had sufficient resources to safely continue their operation. Our officers disengaged.”…
