Texas Tech softball was back in action at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Saturday after beating Fresno State and Bethune-Cookman in their first two official games. They started the action on Saturday in California with Kaitlyn Terry in the circle who hung a zero in the first inning on Cal State Fullerton.
The Red Raiders scored first scratching across a run in the top of the second, while Terry got out of a jam by striking out the side after giving up a walk and a single in the bottom of the frame.
In the top of the third inning Texas Tech reached base with the first two batters with a little help from Cal State Fullerton. Terry reached to lead off with an error, before Miyiah Davis reached with more Fullerton defensive issues. Mia Williams moved the baserunners over with a full-count shot to the warning track, before Taylor Pannell launched a three run jimmy jack to center field…
