The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has determined that a Fullerton police officer acted lawfully in a 2024 encounter in which a man died after being struck by less-lethal beanbag rounds outside a McDonald’s.
In a legal review released Feb. 19, 2026, prosecutors concluded there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the officer involved in the March 6, 2024, incident that led to the death of 50-year-old Alejandro Campos Rios.
