Orange County surfer and teens who rescued him in Oceanside reflect on remarkable progress five months later

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Months after an Orange County surfer was paralyzed in a surfing accident in Oceanside and saved by two teens, he is sharing how far he’s come.

The last time CBS 8 spoke with Scott Muir was in October, shortly after the accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. His friend and two strangers pulled him from the water and kept him alive until help arrived.

“Things have been good,” Muir said. “Lots of things changed since we last talked, for sure.”…
