On February 26, 2026, at 10:43 PM, WPD Gang Detectives contacted two individuals near Newland Street and Bolsa Avenue. One of the subjects attempted to hide behind a vehicle but was detained without incident. A pat down revealed an empty firearm holster in his waistband.
A search of the area uncovered a loaded 9mm handgun. The subject was found to be on parole with three felony warrants, including a parole violation, and identified as a South Side HB gang member.
