Yamaha departure adds to the growing wave of companies leaving California

Yamaha Motor Corp. USA will relocate its U.S. headquarters from Cypress, California, to Kennesaw, Georgia, ending nearly five decades of corporate presence in Orange County.

The move will begin in late 2026 and is expected to be completed by 2028, affecting about 250 employees tied to corporate and financial services roles.
