Irvine police cited a juvenile driver spotted performing several donuts in the roadway on Saturday.
Police posted video of the incident, which happened near Jeffrey Road and Portola Parkway, on Instagram.
An officer patrolling the area spotted the BMW and detained the driver, who was released to their parent after receiving a citation for reckless driving, according to police.
