A 19-year-old man in Orange County is facing multiple felony charges in connection with an incident involving an 8-year-old child, authorities announced.
In a news release, investigators with the Westminster Police Department said that on March 21, the suspect, Anthony Gonzalez, a resident of the city, approached the child while the victim was playing outside with a friend in the 13500 block of Edwards Street, not far from Finley Elementary School.
“The suspect, who was unknown to the child, forcibly grabbed and dragged the victim to a more secluded location, where he allegedly engaged in inappropriate and unlawful contact,” investigators said.
The victim was able to escape and run home, with the authorities presumably being contacted about the incident a short time later…
