Arrest made in Orange County road rage incident targeting cyclists

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a road rage incident involving aggressive drivers and two competitive cyclists in Orange County.

The suspect, identified as Samir Weiss, is now in custody after a search warrant was executed at his Corona home Thursday night, authorities said. Officers seized a blue BMW M3 from the suspect’s home.

The March 21 incident happened while cyclists Ben Byra and Luke Fetzer were training for a Sunday race along Pacific Coast Highway and Bayshore Drive in Newport Beach.
