Two suspects are in custody following a pursuit of a stolen U-Haul that ended in a crash that killed at least one person in San Clemente on Monday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Just before 8 a.m., San Clemente deputies reportedly attempted a traffic stop on a stolen U-Haul, but the driver did not comply.
Deputies pursued the driver for a short time before the U-Haul collided with another vehicle near Ola Vista and Avenida Granada, according to the sheriff’s department.
