Fake Justin Bieber rep pulls off bold $200,000 Coachella E.V. rental heist

(KTLA) — It was too late to say “sorry” after a Newport Beach rental business was scammed by someone posing as a member of Coachella headliner Justin Bieber’s team.

There’s no confirmation that Bieber or his team had anything to do with this, but the owner of Newport Beach Moke said that the scammer used his name to make a last-minute request seem legitimate.

Four electric Mokes are now gone after the caller claimed the buggies were needed to shuttle the pop star between a private villa and the festival grounds.

“The night before, we get a call for a last-minute request—four cars to go to Coachella for the headliner,” recalled owner Chad Marta. “Which is not an out-of-the-ordinary request at all. We’ve done it a lot of times.”

“I didn’t want to leave the Biebers high and dry. I never thought this would happen,” Marta continued…
