The woman who fell to her death on the Carnival Firenze has been identified as 24-year-old Brianna Miller. The tragedy occurred around 2:00 a.m. local time on April 27, less than 24 hours after the ship departed on a 4-day cruise from Long Beach, California.
The Carnival Firenze was near Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California when the incident occurred. Miller fell from her cabin balcony onto the deck below, reportedly deck 5. The Carnival Firenze has passenger cabins up to deck 14, meaning she could have fallen up to 9 decks.
