Fidelity Investments has agreed to pay a $2.5 million settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to protect customer data during a 2024 cybersecurity breach.
According to the complaint, between Aug. 17 and 19, 2024, hackers gained unauthorized access to Fidelity’s computer network and obtained customer financial information, including account numbers and routing numbers.
