HOUSTON, Alaska (KTUU) -As the nation prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, Gorilla Fireworks is seeing hundreds of customers ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
“You only get to celebrate 250th once in a lifetime,” Samantha Bouma, with Gorilla Fireworks, said. “The joy is really putting smiles on families’ faces and seeing the kids get excited,” Bouma said.”
Prior to purchasing or lighting fireworks, Bouma told Alaska’s News Source that customers should be aware of their local regulations. In Houston, she said, it is legal to light fireworks on private property with the owners permission. Meanwhile other areas, like the Municipality of Anchorage, it is illegal to use fireworks…
