ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A fire burning in the woods in east Anchorage put smoke into the air and backed up traffic along Northern Lights on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was burning in the area of Goose Lake Park, between UAA Drive and Bragaw Street, according to Megan Peters, a spokesperson with the Anchorage Fire Department.
Peters said the fire is contained, but not out.
