Two dead in fatal Aniak plane crash

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Two men are dead after a plane crashed near Aniak Tuesday, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers received a report at 12:21 p.m. that a Cessna 185 had crashed after taking off from a moose camp near Aniak. Troopers have been unable to reach the crash site because of poor weather.

The two men in the plane have been identified as 34-year-old pilot Nicholas Peters of Eagle River and 50-year-old passenger John “Jack” Ervin of Missouri…
