ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Dense fog and risky landing conditions played a major role in the crash of a chartered plane that left all eight onboard dead last month at a remote military radar site in western Alaska.
A preliminary report released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) details the weather conditions and communications between the pilots and the ground people at the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site on Aug. 20.
