An Anchorage lawmaker is proposing increasing state subsidies to low income families to receive child care. The House Finance Committee heard testimony Thursday on House Bill 89, sponsored by Rep. Julie Coulombe (R-Anchorage), which would create tax credits for employers that support child care and increase state subsidies for child care assistance.
