Romig Middle School reports community member is mumps-free

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Romig Middle School’s principal told families late Tuesday afternoon an individual with a potential case of mumps tested negative. The school, located next to West Anchorage High School, notified parents Jan. 18 that it was concerned a member of its community could have contracted the disease. As a precaution, the school canceled after-school activities and field trips while it waited on test results.
