ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A man accused of brutally murdering and taking videos and photos of the deaths of two Alaska Native women begins Monday. Brian Smith is charged with the murders of 30-year-old Kathleen Jo Henry and 53-year-old Veronica Abouchuk. Both women experienced homelessness. Henry died during the first week of September 2019, strangled and killed in a hotel room.
