Local Alaskan artist James Havens and photographer Brian Montalbo are raising awareness for some of Africa’s largest big tuskers like Craig here. Africa Geographic reports only 50 to 100 tuskers like Craig remain in Africa. A super tusker is a male bull elephant with tusks that way over 100 pounds each. The tusks are so long they scrape the ground when the elephant walks.
