Former Typhoon Ampil moves north into the Bering Sea

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The remnants of Typhoon Ampil will lead to widespread rain, winds and coastal flooding across the state. The greatest impacts will be felt out west, where coastal flooding, high surf and coastal erosion looks possible. As a frontal system associated with the low moves eastward across the state, we’ll see rain and winds arrive in Southcentral through the afternoon hours.
