The estate of Ed Rasmuson has donated $3 million creating endowments for arts groups across Anchorage, Alaska, the Anchorage Daily News reports. The bequest includes $1 million each to the Anchorage Concert Association, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, and Anchorage Opera. Established at the Alaska Community Foundation, each organizations’ long-term endowment will provide each approximately $40,000-$50,000 in annual income as to bolster financial stability. Rasmuson, who died in 2022, was a banker and founder of the Rasmuson Foundation, Alaska’s largest philanthropic organization.
