A woman was killed Monday morning when a vehicle struck her near the Rainbow Creek Trailhead on the Seward Highway. The collision occurred just after 6:00 a.m. on Sep. 9, the Anchorage Police Department said. According to the APD dispatch on the incident, Anchorage Police Mid-Shift Patrol Officers responded to mile 108.5 on the Seward Highway regarding a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
