A woman who was struck by an SUV while she was crossing Northern Lights Boulevard in West Anchorage died Saturday night, police said. Patrol officers responded to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the Anchorage Police Department said in an online report. Initial information indicated that the woman was crossing the westbound lanes of West Northern Lights, and was about 500 feet west of the crosswalk located at the Minnesota Drive intersection, when a Kia SUV heading west struck her, police said.
