ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Bureau of Land Management Anchorage District Office joined BLM offices across the country Saturday in celebrating National Public Lands Day. Volunteers gathered at the Campbell Creek Science Center at 8:30 a.m. to help with trail maintenance, tidying up trailheads, winterizing native plant gardens and other tasks around Campbell Tract and the Campbell Creek Science Center. More than 150 similar BLM events took place across the country as part of the 30th annual celebration of public lands.
