ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A 25-year-old Anchorage man was sentenced Friday after facing charges for killing a young couple in a drunk driving crash in August 2022. Matthew Davis was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with 10 suspended, after he accepted a guilty plea to a DUI and two counts of manslaughter for the deaths of 18-year-old Amelia Nowak and 20-year-old boyfriend Derek Duerr.
