ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Anchorage Assembly will meet on Tuesday for its first meeting of 2025. A number of items are listed as part of the Public Comment session which begins at 6 p.m. including proposed amendments to Municipal Code Title 21 which would suspend the residential design standards on multifamily residential homes for development applications submitted within certain time; a resolution to appropriate more than 2 point 5 million dollars of taxes to pay for the Roger Hickel Contracting Inc. legal settlement; and a number of different proposals by various assembly members for a sales tax.
