Avalanche danger remains; light snow showers possible into Saturday morning

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A quieter start to the day is with us across Southcentral, with rain impacting Southeast this morning. While many areas across the state are beginning to see winds die down and snow coming to an end, there are still areas of the Interior and Southwest Alaska holding onto some scattered snow showers. Many areas across the state will begin to see the return to cooler weather through the weekend.

SOUTHCENTRAL:

Clear skies and fairly light winds through the night, allowed for some frost formation across parts of Southcentral. A quick scrape may be needed on your windshield as you head out the door this morning. We’ll hold onto plenty of sunshine through the day, with temperatures slightly cooler from previous afternoons.
